GTO vs Sentra

It's nice to see the GTO keep its cabin in shape so nicely. The roof looks like it buckled a little, but overall, the cabin looks pretty much unaffected.

I guess he can look at it in a positive sense; now he can upgrade to the LS2 GTO 😉

Yup on the LS2
Good to see that the modern muscle cars hold up well.

Wow, I'm really impressed by how well the Goat held up in the collision. That Sentra looks like it hit a brick wall.

I don't think they had seatbelts on. I probably wouldn't be here if I didn't have mine on. The passenger in the other car went through the windshield and onto the hood. The driver was in a laying down position so he didn't go anywhere.

Holy crap that was a violent hit.

um, drunks + no seatbelts = that happens.

😕

How do you figure?

when 2 vehicles collide going at each other at 50mph, thats the force of 100mph hitting a parked vehicle. (cant be a brick wall as brick walls dont have crumple zones and the like)

Does the car stop any more quickly when it hits another moving car? I'm just going to pull some numbers out of thin air for a minute. Let's say a GTO has a crumple zone of 6in. It hits another GTO with a crumple zone of 6in. Both of these cars are going 50mph. When they collide, they will both go from 50mph-0mph in 6in. Just because they were both going 50mph doesn't magically shrink the crumple zone in half. In other words, this is absolutely bogus. Now, if one car is heavier than the other, the heavier car will have a reduced impact speed while the lighter car will have an increased impact speed but it will be nowhere near double.
