ok, im working on a small (500mb) hd, so installing the packages from the slack 8 cd isn't an option.. so im trying to compile gtk myself.. heres what i did:
install pkgconfig-0.12.0
install pango-1.0.0
install atk-1.0.0
install glib-2.0.0
install gtk+-2.0.0
each one configured, compiled and installed without any noticable errors.. i then went on to configuring xchat.. but xchat tells me it cant find gtk-config.. find can't find it anywhere either. ive done ldconfig and even a reboot, and gtk-config is no where to be found.. did i miss a package somewhere?
thanks
