Thanks..
The Apha PAL8045 is a great heatsink for the AMD XP CPU's. Kinda pricey and a pretty damn big heatsink, but works great.

What would be a quiet fan that would be good for overclocking or there is none?

I just received a AGOIA 1800+ from newegg a couple of days ago (at the time is was $86, shipped). I ordered the OEM version, so I guess it was just the luck of the draw. I'm in the process of trying to get it unlocked now.

I also have the 8045 with a YS Tech fan (26 CFM, I think). I think this is the standard fan that comes with it (from SVC). It's not that loud (and cools well) and the 80mm size sounds less obtrusive than the typical 60mm. But, man, this thing is HUGE!. Make sure it fits on your motherboard. I'm using an Abit KR7A Raid, and it fits fine.

I would recommend the 80MM Enermax clear adjustable for overclocking with the Alpha... It can be quiet as well when not fully cranked :)

I got a very overclockable AGOIA XP1600 from TCWO for $65.

PLUS, they threw in a 11 pack of Lifesavers!
