Anyone else tried it yet? I'm running one of the newer CM7 nightlies on my Evo that's based on Android 2.3.4. I tried it over wifi with my wife on the MacBook. It appears to work pretty well.

i tried it with a buddy of mine. he was on 3g and I was on wifi. It seemed kind of flaky. He could hear and see me, but I couldn't see him and he was breaking up talking.

I'll have to give it another go when we both are on similar networks (both on 3g or both on wifi)

Ya i tried it in 2 versions of miui. One based on 2.3.3 and a later version based on 2.3.4

Worked fine in both but would force close if you press the audio/video icon on the usernames in the conversation window (workaround would be to open a message with them and hit menu and start audio/video chat with them in there) and if you switched to rear camera.

Otherwise, the video and audio came in fine. It would pause the conversation if you switched to wifi to 3g or vice versa and continue once your connection is connected.

Video chat seems like the one feature nobody is asking for, but every company has been trying forever to deliver...

Yeah, I don't really understand the point. It's cool for meetings or if you have someone far away that you haven't seen for a while, but in both of those situations, you probably have access to a computer which would give you infinitely better results.
