Your biggest complaint in terms of technical glitches was that the cheats don't work properly?

Saint's Row gets a B, but this gets a C?

please stop reviewing...there are many other hobbies out there, perhaps you can do something worthwhile and volunteer at a homeless shelter.

wow i dont say this often but that review was made entirely of crap. Issues range from the guy runs funny (wtf? have you seen how many characters run in video games??) to gripes about how you can't focus between a radar and the screen?? I don't know about you but I don't think many people have problems between watching the road and looking at a gps/radar. Then you complain about the sluggy map?? for all intents and purposes the map works pretty fine. I have never had any problems with it and that half a second difference doesn't truly kill any aspect of the gameplay. The relationship aspect is also an interesting addition to the game and many people would beg to differ about how enjoyable it is. You bitch about how they removed stuff compared to SA [which had more 'useless' minigames i.e. working how (gets really boring) and learning how to fly a plane (ridiculously difficult)] but when they add a new feature that, on the whole, that feels like a nice break from the pace of the game while actually being able to do stuff with npcs that have more personality than at least lifting a dumbbell you complain about annoying it gets.

I think he just wants to be a nonconformist. Which I have to mock:
nonconformists are all conforming with nonconformity! HA! Take that slacker!

I've always thought that was amusing as well. :)

But no; I'm not trying to do any of those things. This is my honest review. The biggest reasons why GTA4 deserved a C is all in the conclusion.

The main issue is that the missions are repetitive. And because the game is not story driven, it makes it tedious to play through the entire game to find out what happens. Saint's Row didn't have this problem and that's why it got a B and GTA4 got a C.

I can't believe you guys. It's just a review! This means it is my opinion and only carries my thoughts on the game. How un-American of you to try to suppress my freedom to give my opinion. If you don't like my opinions, then stop reading my reviews.

Are you conforming to your anti-conformist viewpoint?

It's un-american to think we don't have the right to say what we think about it. For one, it's AT... we're assholes by nature and you'll never know if we're just being pricks or if you really are a failure at life. It's the beauty of anonymity.

God bless the Internet and God bless America

<salutes>

PS: your opinion sucks and I fondle your mother's funbags =D

I KID!

Er, what? The missions are story-driven by nature. If they weren't, there wouldn't be anything to "find out" when you played them.

I realize it's your opinion, but GTA IV is significantly better than Saints Row in every way. I find it mind-boggling that anyone could rate the latter higher than the former.

Regardless of my thoughts on your reviews, I've always respected your right to share them with the community. In fact, I've always thought that you contribute far more to ATCG than the jackasses who crap on your review threads. Even if your reviews are just flat out wrong ;).

C?

Fail.

I will never read another one of your posts, let alone reviews.

Having played Bioshock the read Vian's review, I quite agreed with it. It was a nice player review, most certainly more helpful than someone like Gamespot or IGN doing it.

Whether you disagree with someones viewpoint or not, they are entitled to give their opinion.

I would suggest that all of the fanboys here calm down and just disagree with Vian's opinion, not rip him to shreds for it.

You mean that they are story-driven in the way that I played the game to see how it would finish. However, the main story, which is my main interest, takes a back seat most of the time. I kept waiting for the main story to pick up again. During all the waiting, I was forced to do a bunch of missions for employers, whose stories I didn't really care about because there was generally nothing interesting after each mission or even after a few missions.

It was almost torture for me to complete the game. It felt like the missions never ended because they never built up to anything. Only the main story had build up.
