GTA4 question

I don't get it...and never really did, what the hell does quick weapon switch do? It says to hold L1 and press up, left, right, or down and it auto switches or something.

oh, and for another question...i stopped playing the game right at the part where you meet dimitri in the warehouse. without further spoiling anything, what is the reason the guy dimitri is with wants to kill Niko?

If I remember correctly, the guy Dimitri is with used to be some sort of slaver/smuggler in the Baltic area. Niko was on a ship that got caught or something and they lost a whole cargo load which meant lots of money lost. Since the classic thing to do is kill the guys who lost the money, Niko needed to be killed.

in another scene he said was talking about him and said he didn't pay the guy or something.

It just makes it quicker to switch between weapons that aren't right next to each other in your inventory. Or at least that's what I thought it meant. I've never used it.
