GTA Vice City: PC questions

I have a couple quickies about GTA Vice City. I've gotten a good portion of the game completed already, but I haven't figured out how to shoot from the car or chopper while I'm driving. (like on the motorcycle) Is this possible? Also, the Ice Cream truck, I can't seem to que the music to sell people ice cream. I'm hitting the horn button and nothing happens. Any ideas? Thanks!

to shoot from a car, only way is a "drive by" which you can do by pressing Q or E(left or right) when you get in the ice cream truck it will tell you which button, me thinks its r shift, but dunno.

Thanks for the tips. L shift and R shift are both horn but it doesn't work and it didn't tell me which button when I got in, it just said sell ice cream.

Might be caps lock to turn on the music. When you're driving in the car, you gotta press Q or E. When in a motorcycle, you can do that, or just press the mouse button to shoot straight forward.

Yeah, it doesn't work on mine for some reason. Do you have to be in a certain place? A certain time? Radio stations matter? When I'm in other cars, the l shift and r shift work like they're supposed to, but not in Mr. Whoppee.

For the icecream truck you have to be in a suitable area to sell your product. If you're not the music won't trigger.

Odd. You can be in any part of town, hit the left shift button twice to turn on the music. That's how it was for me anyways.

What areas/times do you know for sure work so I can test that? Thank you guys for all your help. The q/e thing works now, I had remapped my keys and that messed stuff up.

I say the music is broke in the ice cream truck. I just keep pressing shift until I hear music. Just drive it towards downtown.

The music should cue anywhere in Vice City. When there are no customers around though, it'll just say there are no customers when you stop the van.

Are you guys doing this at day or night? Maybe there is something I have to complete first? I bought the ice cream place, that's the only way I know of acquiring the truck. Do I have to get the goods from anywhere?

Uhm, did you change both Shifts to be Horn?

If so, you'll need to change R-Shift back to default, as that is what you will use

How fast are you hitting the "horn" key?
I did that a couple time. The horn didn't come on when I hit it the first few times, so i just kept hitting the key and it turned on and off real fast. I hardly noticed it.
And another thing, once the music has been on while you were in the truck, you can't get out or you will lose the ability to sell "ice cream". You would have to go back to the Cherry Popper's building and get the truck again. At least I think so. Thats what happens to me. I haven't actually read it anywhere.

While we are on the topic of Vice City, how do you pull wheelies and stoppies? I thought it was the "horn" key because when I'm in one of the cars (the voodoo i think) and hit the "horn" key its starts to bounce up and down.

For the ice cream truck music, you have to just tap the horn. I had the same trouble as you for a while.
It works the same way for the sirens on the police cars, firetrucks etc.

For wheelies (you have to be on a motorcycle of course) just lean back. Lean forward for stoppies.

I had problems getting the music to start in the icecream truck too. I just hammered the button until it started and tried not to hit it again and stop it.

I can't figure out how to fly the damn RC Helicopter well enough to complete that POS mission. :|

apparently. I've completed a LOT of other missions for all the other guys, but this is one i can't get to work.

Skip it, for now. It's not part of the main story line, and you can go and do other missions. I had a very hard time with the RC demolition mission early on, failed the first 5 times or so and got fed up with it. I did the other missions, then came back later in the game and finsihed the RC chopper mission on the first try. There's enough opportunity to use the choppers elsewhere, I guess I just got a little better at flying over time. Trying to build up skill by doing that RC chopper demolition mission over and over is just maddening, though, so skip it for now and try again later in the game.

That's exactly what I was going to say. It's all about push vs. tap.

I did skip it. I'm at the point where I wanna get it over with...and it is so damn frustrating!
