Hi,

Ever since my LG CRT monitor died on me, I can't get this game to load. I replaced it with a used CTX CRT and this is the only application I have had trouble with since then. My system spec:

Athlon 64 3200+ (Winchester)
Gigabyte vanilla nForce 4
1GB Samsung Ram
Gigabyte 6600GT using forceware 78.01
Latest CTX driver for my monitor

I reinstalled the game but to no avail - it shows the demoshield logo and nothing. system behaves normally as if I haven't clicked on the file.

Any idea what's been causing this?

Thanks.

Have you tried PnP monitor profile? Worth a go (that's all I've ever used on my Samsung CRT since its .INF undercuts its true max refresh).

Is the monitor at a resolution the game can't handle? Only thing that comes to mind.

I was afraid someone's gonna say that. I know it's silly, but i'd hate having a generic driver for my monitor (I like having all my components "recognized" properly ) so basically I was trying to avoid that route but if there's no other way...

I play at 1024x768x85Hz. Both monitors are 17" and max out at 1600x1200x~75Hz.

Well, I ended up rolling back to the ol' Plug-n-Play driver; The game loaded fine but at 60Hz. I reinstalled the CTX driver and again it loaded perfectly but at 60Hz. I then reapplied Refresh Force and it's fine now @85Hz.
