GTA San andreas question

There is a submachine gun on the roof next to Sweet's house. There is body armor under the bridge supports in the canal just east of your house.

There is a betting shop just west of that big park (I forget the name) in the Baller's territory. You can save your game, then go bet the long odds on a horse. If you win, save. If you lose, then reload and retry until you win a decent pile of $$$.

Frankly, I'd just stick to the missions and advance the plot. Early on, there's not much peripheral stuff to do, since property, territory, items, and access to the other two cities are restricted.

I love this game. I played it 3 times through. The most beneficial mini games to complete early on would be the tags, camera snapshots, and horse shoes. Do those 3 as early as possible. Having those weapons available makes it so much easier.

Also, if you can pull it off, doing the fire fighter mission to become fire proof is nice. There is nothing more dangerous at close range than a fire proof CJ armed with tons Molotov cocktails.

Tags = As soon as you complete the Mission where Sweet has you spray a few tags. That makes the spray can appear at CJ's house.

Snapshots become available as soon as you unlock San Fierro.

Horseshoes are technically available as soon as you unlock Las Venturas, but I suggest getting the jet pack first because some will be near impossible to get otherwise.

Also, if you are super hardcore then you can technically get all of these completed as soon as the spray can is available. Hardly anyone has pulled this off or even bothers to try because it is so incredibly tedious, but there are ways to get to each city while being chased by the cops. If you are extremely good at survival, then you can pick a target (such as a certain snapshot), rush over there, complete your objective, and rush back to save the game. Rinse and repeat until the mission is complete.

paremedic mission is crazy easy if you do it in angel pine since it makes it hella easy. but paramedic is pointless if your health is maxed out already (which mine was but i still did it for the completion %)

You can find the details of what you get at many well organized GTA sites, but the basic idea is this:

Completing tags, snapshots, and horseshoes individually will each unlock a variety of weapons at the main save point in each city.

Los Santos = CJ's house
San Fierro = Your auto shop
Las Venturas = Ouside Red Dragon Casino

So, by completing the missions you can easily stock up on a lot of good weapons simply by grabbing the spawned stuff right by the save point and then saving. Rinse and repeat.

And yes, completing the paramedic mission maxes out your potential health capacity. The police missions give you 150 armor instead of 100 whenever you pick up body armor although the size of the armor bar does not increase.
