Is that in-store only? I live not too far from a CUSA, but unfortunately I will be out of town on Sunday.

Can you pricematch this deal at Best Buy, and then throw in a $5 off Gamer Gift Card coupon on top of that? Or do they not take the coupon if you've PM'd?

Slick: Gamer Gift Card coupon will not work on an item that's price-matched. You get one or the other.

Now, should I get an Xbox version or a pc version ? my pc is a athlon xp 1600 w/ 1gb ram , ATI 9600 pro and am using a 17 in LCD via DVI (1280 by 1024). my xbox is connected to a 27 in SDTV via composite. really liked the mp3 capability on GTA: vicecity

YMMV, i give your chances about 1 in 10. you can prob get the 10% difference though, so like $29+ thax at best buy

I'd say get the pc vers. The pc vers of vice city was far superior to even the xbox version. Just for the ability to mouse aim, it was worth it. Impossible missions were a cake walk when you can aim properly!!

Nice deal OP.

I'll try to get a couple extra by pricematching at BB and CC and, if I get them, I'll post and sell them to other ATHD members at actual cost.

I dont ask questions, i'm just gonna snatch it up at a pretty decent price. Thanks hero, thats a great idea too. Great price drop close to release, sucks to pay full price for a game tons of people already got to play, from my point of view.

"i've heard a lot of people have trouble running this on their PC. "
sounds like most people are complaining about the gfx
i been playing gta for the gameplay, plus nfsu2 is a bigger disappointment @ $19.99 from eb -- playing at 640x480 with a 9700 pro and semp 2200

Why would they drop the price, its Already selling like HELL

It's not a price drop, it's a sale at CompUSA. They try to draw people into their stores by offering a good deal on something. Generally, the first weekend after a game is realeased, one of the big stores will have it on sale for $10-$20 off.

It has nothing to do with sales

They probably hope they can get people to come in to their store and buy a $30 game and about $200-$300 of graphics hardware so they can play it !

Nice price, thx for the heads up. Looks like I'll be heading over to CUSA for the PC version.
