GTA San Andreas 1080p? (Non-Steam)

Hey guys, I have a non steam (gamefly/direct2drive) version of San Andreas. Trying to get a 1920x1080 resolution option. Can anybody help me?

I found the reported fixes for the Steam version but it doesn't seem to work for non-Steam.

Now if there was fix to fully use an Xbox 360 controller with GTA 3, VC and SA....

* edit - I know of fixes that have been recommended, but I've never gotten to work well...
