Do you mean it plays for maybe up to 5 mins, then BSOD?
And is the BSOD just blue, with no error message?

If so, I have the same problem. Haven't managed to fix it yet.

9800 non-pro, XP 2500+, nForce2 mobo, onboard sound, XP, 1gig RAM, latest Catalyst drivers.

I would just give it up. GTA:SA is the BUGGIEST game in a LONG time. Its a freaking console port and this is the best they could do? Im have bug issues of anther sort. No more mouse look. I like to atl+tab out on occassion to look at maps. And now i have no more mouse look! I was retarded in thinking that it was a state dependent thing and just saved (over writing my last save :| ), quit, and restarted. Man, R* should not be supported in the future if PC gamers are expected to get *DECENT* ports outta them fvckers! Assh0les.

Works flawlessy for me. I have played it on my laptop and my home PC and I have not had one single problem with it. Sounds like the problems are on YOUR end.

It's buggy but playable for me, guess I'm one of the lucky ones :Q Have you tried running the latest version of Driver Cleaner and reinstalling your video card's drivers?

Latest chipset drivers? Failing that, you might be screwed until (and if) Rockstar releases a patch for this disgustingly buggy release :(

Hmm, this is probably gonna sound stupid, but if the new ones aren't working, try and revert to the Cat 5.2's or earlier (pre the NEW Catalyst Control Center). I had a ton of lockups with the current ones, and I reverted back down to the 5.2's - I had them saved cause SWAT 4 was giving me graphical anomolies with any other set.

This game is buggy as hell and I still get an occasional crash now and then, but before it wasn't even playable. I've heard of some pretty crazy things people are doing to get this to work.
