GTA IV Problem

I did a bit of research on the web and I got this correlating with my problem:

-The resolution is too high within the game, saying it is 'out of range'
-I could have a resolution along with an exceedingly high refresh rate

None of these happened to me. I turned off my computer last night and when I turn on my computer again when trying to GTA, it gives me this. It worked perfectly fine last night, what is happening right now?

You are having a lot of problems with GTA IV! Maybe the refresh rate you chose is higher than your monitor?

Edit: Looks like you're having other problems too. Maybe related?

I did google it and I have listed the errors I spoke of. It says OUT OF RANGE on my computer monitor when I maximize the screen or when the game is starting.

It might be related, I'm not too sure but we'll see.

Sam, I don't know how to fix the refresh rate on the game. Anyone know how? Plus if I have to put into a Target Line format, it will not work since I have tried it already unless if you find one the works. I tried this:

"C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\GTAIV.exe" -width 1680 -height 1050 -refreshrate 60

Also at 800x600 with a refresh rate of either 60 or 40 will not work. It is clearly something wrong but I don't know if it's the game's fault or the computers.

Again, system specs, monitor model...? Apparently you are trying to run at 1680x1050@60Hz. Is this the native resolution of your display? Try running in windowed mode maybe.

Yes, I would agree. Try and run the game on windowed mode and see if it runs properly.
