GTA IV Multiplayer is not at all what I thought.

I have never been a big GTA fan.
My Lan buddies bought me a copy of GTA IV and suggested that we try out the MP. I told them right off I thought it would be an epic fail. Well I tried it out today and it turns out to be the most MP fun I've experienced in some time. The experience is quite unique actually. The city scene is surreal when you can hear gunshots reverberating through the alleyways and with multiple teams playing deathmatch and many people able to load a car at the same time it makes for an absolute blast.
Sure the gameplay is a little quirky especially if you're accustomed to finely tuned shooters but overall, even with the crappy games for windows and rockstar social club, it's easily worth it.

Anyone looking for a new MP gaming experience must give this a shot!(pun intended)

Edit: Let me explain a few things from the above video. Characters whose name is in blue are cops. Yellow means they have committed a lesser crime or two, and they can be ticketed by cops. If they do not pay the ticket, they will eventually turn orange. Or if you commit crimes like murder, bank robbery, etc., your name will appear in orange and cops can arrest or kill you on-site. There are server rules regarding this, no random killing, cops are not supposed to fire on yellows, only oranges.

"Alarm activated." When you get out of the vehicle you are driving, you can put an "alarm" on it, and if anyone else tries to steal it, it won't let them drive it, at least not very far.



It's fun as hell. I play a cop on one map, and a hitman on the other two. There's a lottery. You can rob people, banks, casinos. You can rape people and give them diseases. You can put hit contracts on people, and of course collect on them. You can kidnap people. Buy weapons of course, or you can sell them. You can be put in jail for several minutes, and you can be raped or killed in there. You can buy condoms to prevent getting a disease when raped. You can buy life insurance in order to keep your money and items in case you die or are killed, however, it continuously gets more expensive the more you need to buy it. And probably tons of other things to do that I can't think of.

If you ever downloaded and tried the MP mods for GTA3 or Vice City, this is totally different, and totally better in every way imaginable.
