Gta 5 lag issue

I have been facing lag issue in GTA5 on PC, i wud like to add that my pc meet the recommended requirements mentioned by the game but still i face lag after like 30-35 minutes of game play.

Only resolution i have found is to restart the game but that fixes the lag only for another 20-30 minutes and again the terrible lag is back again.

any help is appreciated.

processor -i5 3570k
ram -8gb
graphicCard -amd 7850 2gb
 
are you using vsync? if so try following these steps:

once the lag starts (and only once the lag starts)

go to settings

disable vsync - apply setting

then reenable vsync - apply setting

fps should be back to normal

my settings are the default set by gta 5 itself
(on resolution was changed to 1600x900 from ~1300x768)


on benchmark test within the game i get avg fps of 50

lag is revealing after 30-35 minutes of gameplay.

okay i will try this one ,thanks but i need more suggestion and resolution
 
do like i said,play the game. when the lag starts, disable vsync, apply setting. then reenable vsync, and apply setting again. your fps should go back to normal until you quit the game. unfortunately you will have to do this everytime it happens until Rockstar fixes the application.

I tried it but its not helping, lag still remains..
 
what kind of "lag" is it? (i hate this word by the way)

are you getting fps drops, or some kind of internet lag on the online portion?

I'm currently doing Story Mode and there is a FPS Drop, the only reliable way I've found is to restart the game which gives me another 20-25 minutes of lag free gameplay..
 
Any chance the default settings are putting your textures on high/veryhigh? I've never tried them so I'm unfamiliar with how they react in this particular game.

AMD 7xxx series cards have beta graphic card driver available at website tuned specially for gta 5 far cry 4 etc.It rectified my problem.

I wud recommend updating to beta driver if u have amd driver cuz it solved my lag problem.
