I know that the previous gtas were all released cause i proudly own them but i'm wondering if they will release gta4 since there seems to be lots of issues with exclusivity. i still doubt however that rockstar would deny themselves the huge pc audience. if it does port, how long do you think it will take? your thoughts?

on a different note: gta games should always be released on the pc at the same time if not earlier than the console version considering the whole franchise got started on the pc.

It won't be the first game that started on the PC, moved to the consoles, and then came back 1 installment later, like CoD did/will do.

I sure hope it does come to the PC, but Rockstar only has a few months left to announce it/make it happen. I suppose it will port later on if it doesn't hit the PC simultaneously with the consoles, but ports have never been good games.

Companies like "double-dipping" and releasing them on PC and one or more game consoles, and they've done so in the past with the other GTA games, so undoubtably. It might just be a few months or a year, depending on if they signed some form of exclusivity contract with Sony.

No doubt it will eventually be released, but you'll have to wait at least 6 months like Sinper82 said.

Also: expect an extremely sloppy, buggy port.

how so? i didn't really think the other game ports were bad

The original GTA3 was ball breakingly bad. Vice City ran SO much better, iirc.

Yeah, GTA3 ran like crap on the PC. Looks and runs great now with newer hardware though. GTA3 was one of the first games I played on a PC. Haha, great memories of being stoned and trying to figure that game out, it was soooo much fun.

They should send Manhunt 2 to the PC since the Wii and the Playstation will not take it.

Ugh it pisses me off so much when I think about how great the GTA games could have been if they weren't developed for hardware created in the 1990s :(

Doesn't bother me too much. What made the GTA series great was not the graphics, but the gameplay.

What does bother me is the waiting for the PC release. :D

I'm playing the PC version of GTA: San Andreas and it feels like a better game for the console. Almost like it was made of the PC.

Gameplay suffered as well. You simply can't do as much with ancient hardware.
