GTA 4 Downloadable content for Xbox 360

We don't know and we're not sure.

Seriously, there hasn't been any announcement made yet. The rumors have ranged from a new section of the city to a whole new city and sometime before the holidays to early next year.

Unless this news has since changed (entirely possible), supposedly DLC is confirmed for "Fall 2008".

Yeah, but fall essentially runs right to December 21st. Remember the 360 Dash update for last year being listed as Fall 2007 and it didn't come until the middle of December.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if it slipped.
 
Last I think I heard was Q1 2009, Im sure im wrong but being that I shelved the game anyway, it doesnt matter to me. SR2 has taken its place. 🙂

Considering we've heard absolutely nothing about it, I wouldn't be surprised either. Who knows? Maybe they'll shock us in November or December.
 
Darn, I only have this for PS3 so I will miss out on all the new "Kill 134 gang members in one spot" missions or the "Go to assasinate someone, but announce that you're going to kill them first so you can chase them through the city with the clunky car controls" missions or the "man dates."

The Q1 2009 thing was debunked. The official word is that it's coming this year.

I actually felt that GTA4 had some _very_ inspired missions (Four Leaf Clover, anyone?), so if they manage to do a few more of those, it might be worth buying. Something that enhances the sandbox aspects to give it more long-term replay value would also be good - some sort of business simulation aspect in the GTA style, maybe.
 
and to think there are two packs supposed to be coming out...

hell, it will time for a whole new GTA by the time the second pack comes out. this better be worth the wait and money.
 
Is GTA4 honestly that bad??? I looked some stuff up on it(all rumors) some people said they are updating the driving(and other flaws) and adding a new island with about 10-20 hours of gameplay. So if they fix the problems that GTA4 has then it will take its spot back in my book, but I do agree SR2 is awesome
 
oh, i love GTA. it has gotten a little old after 6 months, but me and my friends still enjoy it.

i just wish they would open up the MP options a little, especially in free mode. i want to be able to choose cars or spawn them with my phone, they could make it an option the host can turn on or off.and be able to play the mini-games while in MP and all that stuff.

there is so much potential to keep it going if they just do it. hell, it might be part of the DLC, but it's not doing us any good if it never comes out. hell, i'd take stuff like what i mentioned(new mini-games, weapons and stuff) over a few missions i'll only play once. be really cool if they could give us a map editor type thing to so we could maybe move around smaller objects to make jumps and stuff like that. hell, me and my friend spent like 4 hours one night seeing who could land more cars on that barge that's sitting at the end of a runway at the airport.

IMO, anyways.
