I'm playing GTA 3 again for the 3rd time on the PC. I've played with the keyboard/ mouse every time, but I'm trying out my Logitech Wireless Wingman this time around. What I've noticed...

Walking/ shooting- Mouse/Keyboard hands down. It's such a pain to shoot anyone with my gamepad. Pretty frustrating.

Driving- Gamepad. The keyboard/mouse combo wasn't that bad when driving, but not nearly as good as a gamepad.

Well I'm going to play with the gamepad till the end of the game. I hope I don't get overly frustrated though. Those sniper missions can be a real pain in the arse and I have a feeling my gamepad is just going to complicate matters.

Question... Does GTA 3 (PC version) support rumble? I have it for my gamepad and I'd love to use it.

Also, this game rocks. I'm playing GTA 3 on a 19" Dell LCD w/ a AMD XP 2500, Gforce 4 4200 and Logitech 500 watt speakers. (THX and Dolby Digital) I love the audio for this game!

Playing thru Vice City for the first time right now, and it's KB/mouse for me hands down. I agree that driving with a gamepad is somewhat easier, but the pain of trying to shoot with a gamepad is too much to ask.

I'm use to the Gamepad because I spent hours upon hours playing GTA3 on the PS2. I had gotten VIce City for the PC and mouse/kb just felt awkward for me. Had to trade it in for the PS2 version. Even though I play a lot of games on PC and am use to the keyboard/mouse GTA for me is all about the gamepad.

To each his own. :p

Gamepad is better for the driving/farting around parts of the game. But when it comes to quick shooting, it's keyboard and mouse hands down

Keyboard-and-mouse man right here. There's just so much more you can do & do it faster over the gamepad.
