It's not my first time playing a GT game. It's just frustrating, because here is this great game that I had fun playing the rest of it, but this one race is enough to make me shelve the game and never give a second thought.

I know some people will say that weak and you can't give up. But try racing the same track 100 times in a row and not seeing any improvement, giving up for that day, and try another 100 times the next. Games should be challenging, but this seems a little over the top. I will keep trying because I can't progress without a win, but there's only so much failure one man can take!

Well look at the bright side. On that B-6 Integra course on the High Speed Ring, at least you still get like 5,500cr for finishing 6th. Save up to get that Ferrari F1 🙂.

Only 2 million cr! Man, I hope they put the Enzo and Enzo FXX in the full version. Maybe even the Bugatti Veyron!

I will pay someone $100 right now to come over to my house and beat this effing track so i can move on! Otherwise I swear to god I'm going to break this disc and get the utmost satisfaction from doing so!

One thing I've noticed that I hate is that if you restart an event immediately after finishing (i.e. without backing out to the menu screens), then it seems like the AI cars on the track do the exact same thing every time. On the two Integra overtake races (one in C, one in B), I would restart the race time after time when I completed the lap just to see if I could do better and beat my time. And every single time, I started to notice that the same cars would do the same things, like braking oddly, running into the dirt, etc. On the High Speed Ring Integra lap in B class, the same car would cut down low, throw up some dirt, then hit the brake a couple of times to gain control of his car. All other cars would do the same exact things as well throughout the race. It's like when you start a race, it's already predetermined exactly how the cars will act, what lines they'll take, and who'll finish in what order.

That one is kinda rough. I raced it 5 or 6 times, and my best effort put me in 6th place, about 3/10's of a second behind a the tightly packed group of 3rd, 4th, and 5th. Those were the only times I tried it, though, I'll go back in this weekend and attempt it again.

Nothing is making in sense. I get a higher ranking running the race like a buffoon, not breaking slamming into cars and walls, constantly having x pressed, then when I actually to try play sometimes.

And the cars do all follow their predetermined track it is so frustrating, but you'd think after doing that race so many times I would have everything memorized.

I think i'm just going to shelve the game for a while and bide my time until GTA4 and then I can forget all about GT5P.

I think the goals they ask for in this game is a bit harder than GT4. Unlike GT4, its harder to get all golds, but just passing the levels by getting on the podium is not hard. Just keep practicing and remember to drive smoothly.

Don't break the disc, I'll give you $24 for it.
