I just got my copy of the game yesterday. Transfered 100g from my GT3 save, and bought a 99 Lotus Elise Motorsport. So far, it's pretty fast compated to all beginner cars, but it needs some racing tires.

Yes, but you can also transfer over your B and A licences, so it gives you a pretty good head start on the game.

On another note, there are 2 things I don't like about GT4:
1. It automatically saves your game when you buy a car
2. There's no option to load the game, you have to reset the ps2

Not a big deal, overall I like the game a lot, but there's no excuse for overlooking such simple things.

I do believe that you can turn off the Autosave in the options~

I looked at the options, and the only other choice was "restricted". I selected it, but it still autosaved when I bought the car. But I'd have to look around some more, I hope you can turn it off completely.

400hp Subaru Impreza WRX '94, surprisingly rust free.

I didn't realize that the game autosaved and I bought a BMW M3 just to try it out. Re-loaded the game the next day and was shocked to see that the M3 was still in my garage and I basically had no cash.

How do you sell cars? - I can't seem to find that option anywhere? Can somebody let me know because I desparately need upgraded brakes for the Scooby since I keep ending up up in the sand traps all the time.

Thanks.

PS. Is it me or is GT4 more difficult than GT3.

You can sell cars from within the garage, just go to view the car and there's an option to sell it (like GT3).

I also think GT4 is harder, mostly because the tires seem to have less grip. On a positive note, though, the physics are more lifelike, because tires lose grip progressively, and you can tell by the sound how close to the limit you are. At least that's my impression from the few hours that I've played it so far.

No kidding, same car I bought. Used it for half the game.

Thanks munky....I'll try this when I get home. I knew that it had to be somewhere, I just couldn't find it anywhere (didn't see anything in the manual, I even Googled it without any luck). Now I can make the Scooby more competetive.

I seem to slide around more in GT4, but I suspect my car is not setup properly.

I bought the game the day it came out (in Canada), got home, started to open the packaging and thought they had given me a french manual on the outside of the case (I don't speak a word of french). Then I relaxed and thought that the english manual was inside the case (obviously). When I opened the case, not only was there no english manual, there was no disc - aahhh! and yes the case was sealed up when I got it. Cue, massive disappointment. Went back the next day to the store (Futureshop), explained what happened and they gave me no hassle (thank God). This time though I made them open the case inside the store.

The RX7 is always a good car to buy in any racing game. It is usually good for a major part of the game (especially in the GT series and the Tokyo Racer series).

Yeah, in GT3 the RX-7 was the second car I bought, and I used it for alot in the beginning. GT4 has a bunch of RX-7s from the early 90's, but I didn't try em yet.

Ok, I realized the Motorsport Elise is not a good car for the money, and it's not powerful enough. So, I restarded my game, this time with a Evolution MR. Much better.
