I have asked around multiple forums with no help from anyone. I'm having an issue wth the GT630 and the GT 650 with my new computer.

Basically, The stock 630 that came with my new computer will only work with a VGA cable and not with the HDMI. The 650 that I bought will not work with either. Whenever I try to plug them in, it just says no signal on my monitor

I know I have a big enough power supply(Corsair GS800). I also had this problem with the AMD XFX R7770. I have tried updating thd drivers and even keeping the same drivers that came with the computer.

This is the closest model I could find that actually describes my computer.

Thank you guys for ANY help!

With that many different video cards not working, this sounds like an issue with your monitor. Do you need to switch inputs on your monitor with a button or a menu? What's your monitor's model number?

Yes I do. I can switch from HDMI to VGA, DVI, and Cable.
I actually thought that was the problem but I plugged the 650 up to my actual TV(Samsung) and it gave a "No Signal" window as well.

I'm not sure of the model number right now as I am at work. When I get home I can check the model numbers.

Its an issue with your PSU or monitor. Its obviously not the video cards with multiple not working. Maybe motherboard issue, who knows. Id be able to figure it out in 60 seconds if I were there probably.

Also, make sure if yer having an issue with the hdmi cable, that youre actually testing other hdmi cables to make sure its not the cable(common sense).

Lastly, why are you using VGA not DVI? Is this a CRT or something?

Ahh Belay that, I did mean DVI. Haha.
Anyways, I've tried multiple HDMI cables and none worked.

Also, Big part I forgot to mention. After buying the first computer and nothing worked on it, I decided to return the computer and exchange it for another. So I can almost 100% rule out motherboard.

The only reason I don't think it's the monitor is because I've tried it on two monitors.

Well you got an issue somewhere obviously. Its not the video cards if multiple are having the same issue.

Make sure its not being output incorrectly in the drivers or something. I know when I have my hdmi cable from video card connected to my TV receiver, if I reboot it automatically sends signal to receiver first making me have to pull the hdmi cable out of video card so it goes back to monitor.

I'm going to run a few more test when I get home. If by next week I can't figure it out, I may just take it for diagnostic test and my local computer shop.

Thanks for the help guys!

If you leave it go, do you hear windows start up?

Have you tried using both cards at the same time, using the DVI card that actually works, then tinkering with the other card while in windows? Does your board allow 2 cards at the time same?

I wouldn't rule out VGA's, you'd just need some of the worst luck in recorded history.. Is there any history with the monitor, or is it new with the PC you bought? Does the TV you tried work with other devices through HDMI? Does your TV support DVI or VGA? Have you tried using a converter on the DVI card that works, with a adaptor to change it from DVI to HDMI?

If you can rule out the monitor, it's unlikely the other components such as MOBO are having any effect on which headers work on your VGA's and which don't. At least I've never heard of that happening, but I'm free tech support so don't hold me to it! >.<

I do not hear windows start up, I DO hear the post beep though.
My Motherboard only has one PCI-E Slot so That is ruled out.
The monitor is not new, It's actually a TV that I use for a monitor. I have NEVER had any issues with it. The TV That I hooked it up to "Test" it is a brand new TV and works fine with my cable box ,blu-ray, 360 via HDMI. I'm pretty sure the TV supports all of the options: HDMI, DVI and VGA.
I have not tried the adaptor. I've been focusing more on the GTX650 and using the 630 when I've given up hope at the time and I just want to get on the computer.

I hope this is helpful.

Did any of your cards come with a DVI > HDMI adaptor? If so you should try that, if you get single with it than I'd suggest RMA'ing your cards, preferably the one that doesn't work at all first >.<

Negtive on it coming with the adapt, But I can pick up one after work.

Could my problem possibly be that when I first got the computer before even turning it on I installed the new PSU and Graphics card. If so, Should I put the old PSU back in along with the stock GTX 630, reformat then after installing everything THEN install the PSU and GTX 650? Or would that even matter? Just a thought.

Another Note.
When I got the first computer I first bought the XFX R7770 and it worked for a little while WITH the HDMI. After a restart of installing updates, that's when everything went down hill. But I don't see how that would carry over to a new computer and GPU.

No, shouldnt matter. The only thing you "should" do uninstalling/reinstalling a video card is making sure you remove the drivers first, take out old card, put in new, install new drivers.

I dont know what your issue is, but its gotta be fairly straight forward.....its pretty easy to figure out why a monitor doesnt have a signal. It may be something related to you running it on a TV and not an actual computer monitor.

Its either the video cards, monitor, driver and/or configuration issue or cables. One of those four things. Rule them out one by one and youll have your answer.
