Hurt again? damn... Maybe there will be a WW title fight that doesn't involve the champ laying down for 95% of the fight.

He stands with grapplers, grapples with strikers; it is why he has remained champ. That he can force you to do either is extremely impressive too.

Diaz v. Condit for interim- I think Nick will get it done.

yeah since thats what he did to kosh right?

its MMS not boxing. if a person can't out wrestle him and get out from under him they deserve to lose.

since he is out diaz and conduit are figthing for the interim. that should be a good fight.

His strategy was good but it was horribly boring to watch not only for people that aren't all that into MMA but even guys like me that enjoy the less exciting fights.

I don't think it should be for the interim belt. You figure 18 months, if they scheduled this fight for next month I believe either of the gentlemen involved would be able to defend it at least once before GSP would be healed to fight again.

Damn, hurt again...I love him as a fighter but can't argue that it'll be exciting to see someone fight for an interim championship.

yeap and what kosh do that fight? besides poke GSP in the eye? oh yeah nothing.

again its a MMA fight. you fight to win. GSP is is very good at that.

i was looking foreword to the diaz/gsp fight. pitty we won't see it for a while. Though i am not sure diaz can beat conduit. it will be a good fight.

Pantlegz1 is just saying guys like GSP or even worse Jon Fitch don't bring the entertainment factor. I can't really argue with him there, even though GSP is the undisputed champ.

I guess it really just depends on what you're entertained by. I think it's amazing to watch how he can completely control a fight from pretty much beginning to end.

same.

Taks someone like either BJ or kosh. both are great fighters when hot they seem like they can destroy anyone. Yet GSP makes both look like amateurs. Is it as flashy as a KO? no. but i find it as exciting and entertaining. then again i have 20 years of wrestling witch is not a very flashy sport heh.

I do wish GSP would jump on hurt opponents to end the fight.

though my favorite fights are the lower weights. they go 100% all 3 (or 5 is some) rounds. sure not always a KO but some great amazing fights. I am glad UFC brought them in.

So GSP rolled last night with his bad knee. Some are breaking out the tinfoil. He was awarded his black belt in BJJ, so I can see why he would be there. We'd have to see vid of the session, to comment on whether or not he was doing stuff he should not be able to do with a torn ACL.

lol anyone who thinks teh Torn ACL is fake are idiots. GSP may not be the most exciting fighter but he has never turned down a fight for his belt. He is not scared or ducking.

This ain't like Ortiz ducking Liddel or even silvia not wanting to refight sonnen.

I don't buy any of that either. I do think, he risked tearing or detaching another ligament or otherwise exacerbating his existing injury if he had it shot up, then went and rolled hard on it.

I read guys that suffered the injury say they could not imagine even closing their guard with it.

I consider myself a GSP fan, but it's hard because when's the last time he stopped somebody? He hasn't beaten a single guy that was bigger than him physically, except for Scott Shields who's even more boring. :D Shields' stand-up may have been better against St-Pierre's, how's that even possible?!
