GSOD or overclock failure?

How do you tell? I was running my 5850 at 965/1300 Furmark stable for 30 minutes. Then Dirt2 crashed to gray screen after just a few minutes of game play. I dialed down the overclock to 960 but have no idea if this is a problem with overclocking or just the GSOD issue. Any way to sort that out?

99/100 times it's an overclock failure. Try 960 and see if it does it again. Also try another game. And Furmark stability tells you nothing beyond "you have adequate cooling."

Thanks. That's kinda what I was thinking too. I did that already an no more GSOD, but it is such an intermittent problem it is hard to tell if that is what fixed it.
