15,240 applications from 130 countries (+130% above the previous record)
23,559 project proposals (+159% compared to 2024)
185 organizations from all areas of the open-source world

Many applications we use daily – GIMP, Inkscape, Krita, Blender, FreeCAD, and many more – were improved or enhanced with new features this summer as part of the GSoC. ☀️🏖️🤩What happens here directly impacts our daily work, our tools, and our ideas about open development.
