Nice price. I'd be all over this is it was 1.5v.

My guess is that it will run cas9 at 1866/1.5v, and would run cas8 at 1600/1.5v, which is what your current memory is at.

Hard to find 2133 memory that runs at 1.5v, but unless you intend to run at that speed, the 1.6v voltage rating shouldn't worry you too much.

G.Skill groups its ram into price classes, and adjusts timings/voltage as necessary to hit certain speeds. Thus you can find a bunch of sets around the same price, and my guess is they are all pretty much equivalent: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...9 4026&IsNodeId=1&name=$50 - $75&Pagesize=100

I've long suspected this to be the case, and the reason I'm still using my sticks is because I'm not willing to go above 1.5v on a z68 board, and it's hard to beat cas8/1600 at that voltage. And every time I consider upgrading to 16gb in 2 sticks, the timings go up even at 1600, so it doesn't seem worth it since I don't actually *need* 16gb. That said, I still love G.Skill, and will continue to use their products in my personal builds and machines I put together for others.

I'm doing 2133 @ 1.55v with these. At high speeds cas settings have a greater impact on voltage than increase in clock speed. You're already 200mhz off from 1000 running DDR3 1600, if you want to run lower voltage at higher speeds go for cas 11 on some high end stuff and you'll get there. If you think its worth it of course, probably not in your case but the option is there.
