I'm pretty sure it's new standalone. It has to do with the events preceding Strelok, and you are playing as someone set out to kill one of the characters from the first game.

I hope the graphics are improved. I could not play stalker at all. It looked like Return to Castle Wolfenstein and played 10x worse!

STALKER has great graphics; especially lighting. The atmosphere is amazing.

Yeah I agree, especially indoor areas. Maybe he played with static lighting? =-o

What game are you playing? On maximum settings, STALKER is one of the best looking games out there, especially when you use a few graphical mods (float32, sharper textures).

Performance is not so great, but I do fine w/ an 8800GTS @ 1680x1050.

Awesome, I love the current STALKER and have high hopes for this one! Hopefully they don't mess with the core gameplay too much and keep it like the original, only bigger and better. Sort of like Fallout to Fallout 2, without all the lame humor.

hmz, I found a movie where they showcased Stalker: Clear sky during the E3. Mind you, it's being commentated in German, but if you can bear with that, it should give you something nice to look at

It's a pretty small download btw, and should be relatively fast, you can get it here.

Excellent. STALKER impressed me so much, I deleted my illegally-acquired copy and am now waiting till I can spare the cash to buy it. Damned bills.
