I think you have a conservative brain defect that you won't admit to precisely because you feel that having one makes you pathological. It is your own fear of self recognition that causes you to rationalize. You are so fearful that the news about your mental state is so bad you refuse to look at it. You think that the whole intention of truth is to make you feel bad so you invent your own version of truth. The is the textbook definition of a mental prison. The biggest problem you have is that you are a drama queen with a snowflake mentality. The war was over. All the damage you are going to suffer happened long ago. You can crawl out of your bunker for some fresh air.
