I haven't worked with GRUB in a long time, and (unlike usual) I don't have a separate /boot partition. The system is configured as follows:
/dev/hda1 is a FAT32 partition for sharing data (was a disk utility partition)
/dev/hda2 is my WINXP partition for work.
/dev/hda3 is my swap partition.
/dev/hda4 is my Gentoo partition.
Grub is loaded to the MBR. The chainloader +1 for Windows is working fine, but for Gentoo I'm having problems. Could someone show me how to configure GRUB for this circumstance? Most everything I've found either has been for one of the BSDs or configured using a boot partition.
Thx

you still have /boot, just not as a seperate partition. Post your grub.conf, and results of ls -la /boot and we might be able to help.

Probably some of the best support forums I've used. Chances are you just have to be careful with grub.conf. hd(0,3)/boot or something.
