GRUB bootloader issue

ok here's the summary:
I use to have fc4 on my desktop and i killed the fc4 partition, but left the boot loader partition in tact because i wasn't sure what i was doing and i didnt want to mess anything up. then i was installing kubuntu on the partition where fc4 use to be. however, now it is asking me if i want to install GRUB to the master boot record in the kubuntu setup. i am worried that if i dont install it i wont be able to launch kubuntu and if i do that i will somehow end up with two copies of the GRUB bootloader. someone educate me please.

Ya.. The BIOS will boot the grub in the MBR first. It may or may not work, it probably won't.

My suggestion is to just let the kubuntu installer install it's bootloader into the MBR.
