Trying to set this up on my 1 and 1 account and getting stuck at this one error.

Error: Directory /homepages/4/d87916935/htdocs/albums does not exist. Please create it.

I created it but it still does not work ?

Also tried a simple /album but still have the same damn problem.

I would edit your thread title and mention 1and1, a few AT'ers have successfully installed Gallery on their 1and1 accounts.

yllus for one.

Have you tried finding the directory in your web browser?

Are your absolute paths correct?

The /albums directory should be in the root directory of your site, not inside the gallery folder for that first address to be correct. If you have the /albums directory inside the gallery folder and if the gallery folder is in the root directory of your FTP space, then that first line should look like this: /homepages/4/d87916935/htdocs/gallery/albums

EDIT: /homepages/4/d87916935/htdocs/ is the root directory of your site. If you went into the site via FTP and created a folder in the main directory seen by your FTP software then the address of that folder is /homepages/4/d87916935/htdocs/*folder name*.

Yes...it works.....Thanks

I created the /albums in the root directory and then /homepages/4/d87916935/htdocs/albums

🙂
