:| :| :| :| The fscking nerver of some people!!!!! Get this story...

Went out to Lonestar for lunch with the co-workers. My girlfriend also joined us as well. I drove my vehicle since we were short on space. I park it and we head in for lunch.

About an hour and a half later, we finish up eating and head out to go back to work. I get out to my car and this huge friggin dent and the lack of paint on the side of my brand new truck slaps me in the freaking face! FSCK! Naturally, I look at the car parked next to me. Check out the drivers side door and and I can see scratches and scrapes in the metal trim that is molded around the edge of the door. I write down the license plate and head back in. I get the waitresses to help me hunt down the person. I find him.

I find the fscker. I ask him if he opened the door a little too hard. He said no, but the wind took the door out of his hand while he was talking on the cell phone. He said that he thought about putting a note on my car. Well, that's nice but you didn't! I had to come back in here and hunt your ass down.

Anyway, I got his name, address, home phone, insurance company, ins co. phone number, and vehicle information.

Since he was courteous enough to not leave a note, or even to come in and try to find the owner of the car he smacked, what do you think my chances are of this sh!tlicker to turn a claim into his insurance company?

Thank god I've got a couple people who were there when he said that it was his fault.

The freaking nerve of some people :| :|!!!

I'd be pissed but look on the bright side - at LEAST you got his phone number/name/etc. At LEAST you know who did it. Imagine having to pay off getting it fixed yourself. (My sister had to on her week-old 2000 Honda Civic - she was PISSED)

Damn, that sux babe. The first vehicle I ever owned that I bought myself seemed to be a magnet for that type of damage. That car was in the body shop more than I care to admit. Got rid of that car and I have owned nothing since that had to even come close to visiting a body shop. Thank god I knew the body shop owner back then. No paying the deductible for me.;)

I just learned after a while that people enjoy denting sports cars. I have almost a dozen dents from car doors in my car. But my car is around 12 years old now so I'll except a few. I'll get a new one soon anyway.

RB, if you think I'm pissed now, you have no idea how pissed I would have been if it was a hit and run.

What gets my goat is the fact that this prick just left his car there without even taking the time to try and find me!

Christ, if you're going to hit a car and not tell the person about it, at least move the damn thing!

This sucks. I got ass-ended by some dumb chick who dropped her cell phone and was reaching around on the floor looking for it. I tried to be a nice guy, and agreed that I'd let them pay for the damage instead of dealing with insurance. All I cared about was getting my truck fixed. Well, once the estimates were in and it was time to pay up, it went downhill. She had her family screening her calls to make sure I couldn't get her on the phone. I'd call and they'd tell me she was there but asleep because she was on night work and to call back in an hour. I'd do that and of course, she wasn't there. That happpened one time. My next phone call was to my lawyer. He is handling it now.

Moral of the story: Do not be a nice guy! You'll get screwed. This person demonstrated that they would have screwed you over. They don't deserve a damn thing from you.

You were lucky to get that much. I had my brand new car for two weeks, went out to dinner at an italian restaurant w/ my girlfriend. It had a dirt parking lot in back with no lines.

After we left and started driving away, there was a loud noise from the right rear tire. Well, the FSCKING plastic guard in the wheel well was rubbing the tire - it had come loose because some ASSHEAD hit my car and drove away!! I was so mad I couldn't see straight! There was a small dent and a big scrape. The dent is still there because it is small enough that I would rather not have my insurance company pay for it. It still ticks me off just thinking about it! :|:|:|

Well, I pulled this guy's home address right off of his drivers license, so if it comes down to it, I can just have a lawyer/insurance company do a little door knocking for me.

Same thing happened to my friends brand new F-350 Super Duty about a month ago. The offender's car was still parked there, and the paint matched up on both vehicles. He was so pissed that he kicked off the bastard's passenger side mirror, then he kicked a big ol' dent in his/her door! The nerve of some people... :|
