Grrrr...XP and "Serious Error"

I've started getting an Error Report everytime I log onto XP Pro saying "Windows has recovered from a serious error," and begging me to send a report to Microsoft (which I've done a dozen times...).

The only thing in the event viewer logs is EAPOL service started successfully.

Where else can I look for what's happening. It's telling me somethings up, but not providing any clues as to what it is. 😛

I get those errors when I shut off power before it completely shutdowns or something of that nature, but thats it. See if it happens if you just do a restart. If not then you should probably be fine.

Yes, it happens on a restart or a shutdown. The funny thing is, when I use the computer, I can't find anything wrong with it...

I got that message a few minutes ago . It seems worse the higher the front side bus is cranked up though . I will never ever report this error to them 🙂

XP displays that whenever it thinks you've restarted after a BSOD...I had a problem with it displaying the error every time it started up, but after about 5 restarts it eventually stopped bothering me. I think I might have tried the Last Known Good startup option...who knows? Windows is incomprehensible. 🙂
