2 computers at home. I'm too lazy lately to set up my network so I can print from both computers to the same printer. (and it'd only take a couple minutes...)

So, I sent an email to myself. Went on the computer with the printer, and attempted to receive the email, so I could print it out. No go... I just had a little message about OE blocking it to save me from a virus.
After an hour of frustration, I gave up, wrote the test down that I was attempting to print (final exam) and had to re-type it at school. (typing calculus and pre-calculus equations is a major PITA - I missed lunch and my prep period just typing)

So, I get home, figure I have to take care of the virus. Updated my virus configuration (it was 2 days old)... and still no virus found. Used housecall... still no virus found.

wtf? Where'd it go?!
(and, where'd it come from... AFAIK, I haven't done anything that would compromise my computer.)

This is the first time I've ever been mad that I *didn't* have a virus!

The new default security zone for Outlook is "Secure", which means it stops you from downloading certain file extensions, like .doc, .vbs, etc. It's NOT a scanner, it just blocks certain file types. You can disable it in preferences.

Yes, that's what it was. Someone had changed the settings during the past couple of days, and I didn't even stop to think about it.
