Aww man this blows.
I've had problems with the intarweb connection for a while and being on the phone with adelphia sucks to start with. It sucks even more now since they told me to takew down my firewall so they could run some tests. Guess what....... during these 2 mins of 'unprotected-sex' some crap ended up on my machine.

I don't think it's really serious, just a PITA.
 
err...spyware just doesn't show up or come in on its own. you had to go somewhere where you would get that stuff.
 
What's happening? More than likely you haven't updated your windows security, and turning off your firewall is making you vulnerable to those now.

Let almost anyone that does not frequent AT or other similar forums use any rig for five minutes and you will have problems.
