Grrr! Not working today after all

Darn, I was looking forward to working today but plans were changed. It's stupid to be poor, or cash-flow challenged as I prefer to put it. $ goes out just fine, but doesn't come in as well as it should.

Not that I object to getting together with friends & relatives, but there's no money in that.

same thing happened to me, I get 8 hrs. of vacation for today - but if I work it is like getting DOUBLE-TIME. and that is always a good thing. I had three other guys willing to work - then they all pvssied out (stupid families, etc.)

I would way rather make double time then spend it with my newborn son - he won't remember it anyway.

EDIT: I don't have a newborn son (I don't think?!) I was referring to a co-worker

Watch out for the Check 21 law, as soon as the person deposits your check, the amount will be withdrawn from your account within minutes not days. No more floating checks.
