Grrr... Cs Server not working right.

Ok i am having a lan party right? I have a CS server behind a linksys router. I want to make it so people on my LAN and people outside it can play on it at the same time. When I make a lan server people on the outside cant play ( with port forwarding enabled), the people on the LAN can. When I make a internet game people on the LAN cant join but people on the internet can. What mode do i choose to get both to work? Sorry if this does not make sense or I am sounding dumb. I am just mad 🙁

thx

What port are you using for your server? If you are going to host an online game make sure you use a machine as the dedicated server. Just start it as a internet server. If your server is on port 27015, the others should see it as a lan game. If not just have them type in the console "connect ip_address: port" and they should be able to connect to it.

Yea, it is a dedicated server. I use port 27015 for port fowarding. I will try that and see of it works. thx
