GRR!! What drivers for Diablo II + Geforce DDR?!

A friend on a new comp is trying to get D2 to run on his Geforce DDR (elsa) and getting fata exceptions like a maniac. Its running the most recent detonator 2 drivers...any help would be really appreciated - oh yes, and win98 SE.

Brooks, I feel your pain. I had to use the 5.22 drivers before it work. And that was after I did a clean install of win me. :| You may also want to just drop back to software mode, that seems to work more.

For me, winme Diablo2 will work with the 5.30 drivers(but not 5.32). For win2k, d3d diablo2 will only work in a window for me.

In win2k I am using 5.22 and it works in direct3d and directdraw(2d) but i prefer 2d just because it runs faster on my computer.

I have not had the slightest problem with Diablo 2. I am using the Nvidia Det 5.22 drivers under Win98FE.

Diablo II is fine here with 5.32 Dets. Maybe your friend just needs to play with his driver settings a bit. I do know that D2 doesn't like being forced to run in FSAA mode! :Q

D2 works fine for me with the 5.22 and 5.30 drivers but not the 5.32.

I'm using the newest Creative FastTrax(which use 5.32...)runs fine
