Grr, I HATE hicups! List your remedies for them.

Anyone else have this problem? I don't care if you tell me to hold my nose, cross my feet and lean back at a 45 degree angle while drinking Pitch Black II, nothing works for me! And I get them so easily so times just by lifting something heavy. Eventually they go away but still it's annoying and borderline embarrising when I get them. So tell me how you get rid of the hicups and maybe one might work for me, though I've heard of and tried so many already.

Drink water from the OTHER end of the glass. You'll end up concentrating on not spilling the water and your hiccups will magically disappear.

 that might be crazy enough to actually work.

It does.

Better yet, stand on your head and drink water (same concept taken further). If you lack the ability to perform such an aerobic feat, lying on a couch/chair with your head hanging over the edge works just as well. 100% satisfaction guarantee! 😛

I hold my breath and concentrate really hard on something like saying "IT WILL STOP NOW" to yourself. It may fail the first few seconds, but it will soon work.

Really it will. My wife has been amazed the few times I proved it to her.

I just hold my breath for 10 seconds just after a hiccup, has never failed me.

I wish I could just do that, does anyone know if cronic hicuping could be the result of stomach ulcers?
