I have tried nmaping everything but no ports are open.

But it is strange since people can download off me from kazaa or morpheous (i'm not sure how people can download from me there but not anywhere else)


When I was running linux no one connect to me by ssh or telnet 🙁


any ideas how to get around this?
 
Your college may have all the low numbered ports (<1024) blocked from receiving an incoming connection. I seem to remember that my college had a pretty strict policy about servers in their dorms...
 
I have tried running ssh on port 3000 but it still doesn't work.


anyways then how does kazaa let user download from me???
