Growing my hair out

After years of having a buzz cut and totally bald head at times (hard to maintain) I am growing my hair out. After a month and half, I never realized my hair was so dark and it is in the dang funky phase of sticking straight up. Think I might go for long hair this time around.

There is going to be a 3 or 4 month period where it will seem like your hair will not do anything you want it to do and you will want to cut it. Once you make it through that time period, you will be golden, but it will take a lot of willpower to not say screw it and just cut it off so it looks nice and clean cut again. I suggest buying a lot of hats ahead of time so you always have a nice hat to match whatever outfit you're wearing.

I did the same thing and it did take a good 4-5 months to settle down. Good advice.
