Hey, i woke up today, and i decided i wanted to grow a beard. It's not coming in fully though, there are patchy spots. Are there excercises i can do to make it grow better? I'm 14 already, i should be able to grow a beard!

I think all you can do is wait until you're older, and even that doesn't work in some cases, as some people above have said. Personally, I hate growing a beard because it itches.

That, and....good LORD, has anyone actually SEEN a 14 year old with a beard? It looks like they either fell face first into a cactus or are wearing a really cheap halloween costume. If you're trying to "look older" or gain the respect and admiration of your peers, find a different way, because growing facial hair at that age will only draw immense amount of ridicule from firends and strangers alike.

I know I'd stop and laugh at you myself.

Do yourself a favor kid and hold that thought until you're at least out of high school. There's only one guy I knew that could carry off a beard at 16, and it was because he looked 30 at the time. He'd come to school shaved and leave with enough shadow for a dozen people.

PS. Girls don't like scratchy beards.

Bwahaha - I'm 19 and I can't get any hair to grow. I can't even to a goatee, etc. But, I'm not complaining, because it's not a bad thing 😀 I liek being pretty much hairless.

I'm 26 and my beard is still patchy....See - Patchy -- forget about a beard at 14, I know 30 year olds who still have patchy beards. And normally people who grow thick beards at young ages end up getting thin or balding hair earlier.

Tis true. I couldn't grow any kind of reasonable beard in my early 20's but it's gotten thick enough that it doesn't look completely stupid these days (I'm 32). I do have to shave a lot more often though. 🙁

That's natural? Looks like you went in there with a very accurate trimmer and cut that patch out for some radical new design
 
i cannot stand full beards, but goatees are the shiit. :lips:
nice thin sideburns and a well groomed goatee make me look more than once.
