Grout removal / replacement questions:

Hi, I have a shower where there are some areas of grout that have separated from the stone leaving a small gap where water could possibly leak through. Luckily it is only the grout at the bottom of the shower where the wall meets the floor (at the angle) . Both the walls and floor has stone (marble) tiles). I want to replace the grout in those areas:

1. What's the best way to remove grout without damaging the stone tiles around them?

2. Can I just remove small sections of grout and regrout those areas? Will the new grout "stick" to the old grout next to it? I'd like to not have to remove all the grout.

Thanks.
