Groupware for Linux

http://www.ximian.com/

their evolution program is supposed to integrate into existing exchange or lotus services. never used it though. let us know what ya think.

maybe n0c will get here and let us know all we need to know 🙂

Groupware meaning what exactly? Something like exchange where you can check to see if someone is in the bathroom at the click of a button? 😛

If that is what you need HP had one called Openmail or something not too long ago, although they dropped support for it.

Yes, exactly what I'm looking for. I've also come across teamware, which isn't free, but if it works well, then it would be great. I'm going to check out openmail. thanks n0c!

Im not positive that is what it is called, and Im not sure how "free" it is. But good luck and report back 😛

it's no longer being offered! 🙁

It's ok though. I am planning to implement an email server for a friend, and because he would like to go with Linux, I would like to
find something simple and fairly easily to administer. If he were to go with Windows, I would've gone with Argosoft's product.
No way am I running Exchange!
