I don't see how that's possible.

You spend 25 dollars
You must spend another 50 dollars
Groupon is 75 dollars out minus 125 dollar cost of goods
That's 200 bucks out of pocket for you on a 75 dollar pair of shoes.

DO NOT WANT! It's a scam meant to prey on people that are bad at maths. Buyer beware.

you don't spend an additional $50...you get $50 worth of product....

seriously man, you want me to scan you a receipt or something?

How the hell do you get 50 bucks worth of product if you don't spend the 50 bucks needed to get the 25 dollars off?

THINK MAN!

you give groupon $25

you get a piece of paper "25 off 50"

you go to store and buy something for 50

you give store groupon

you leave.

Actually, the way you said it is wrong and why the OP is confused.

It's not a piece of paper "25 off 50", it's a piece of paper that says "$50 to spend".

It's essentially a GC for you to use. I know you know how it works, but just saying you said it wrong.

But it's not. You still have to buy 50 bucks worth of stuff, then you get 25 dollars off a 125 dollar purchase minus the 50 dollars you're already out to save 75 dollars minus 25 dollars you spent on the groupon means you're losing money. You people just don't seem to get it.

lol at teabagger understanding of math, purchasing, economics, etc....

no wonder they will try to run this country into the shitter.

:D

(sorry to go P&N, but it does explain a lot)

Yes. That's the beauty of the scam. It's linear instead of exponential but a lot of fools still fall for it. Groupon laughing all the way to the bank on the backs of suckers.

i wrote it that way intentionally to match what the OP was saying.

Why would you possibly do that? You wrote it intentionally wrong so the OP could understand?

me thinks you realized your mistake but are now trying to cover it up.

The gift card is worth $50. it costs you $25. say you already want to buy a pair of shoes for $75. You use the gift card, it essentially costs you $50 (price of card (25) + difference of (shoes-gift card (25)) = savings of $25.

fuck man.

seriously...fuck.

I'm with the trolls, everyone is total fail!

You pay $25 up front
You get $50 card
You find $50 worth of stuff
You give register $50 card

It all looks fairly simple but it's not! In all $75 has exchanged hands... $25 to groupon and $50 to the store. You can't make money out of thin air!!! Only the gov't can. This is some kind of voodoo.

the OP phrases it

"The deal today is $25 off $50"

I match OP's phrasing to explain how it works. Whether you believe me or not I don't give a fuck.

Doesn't look like it's a $50 gift card, it says you're buying $25 off $50. And it costs $25.

You're just perpetuating the OPs confusion then. And you even continued to argue about it w/ slayer when he clearly pointed out your mistake. Finally after a lot of back and forth you say you wrote it that way b/c the OP did?

Doesn't make any sense man. You try to explain it to OP with the wrong explanation and think that'll help him?

I didn't know you were a chic Ns1

Point of View - Casual Connie?
Shoes?
Shotgun lingerie?

But notice you still had to spend 69.91 to get the 50 off that you paid 75 for.

I only had to spend $50 but the GF found a shirt she liked.

I look great in that nightgown BTW.
