I want to jump on the deal, but the massuse's name is Chris. I can't do man on man massages. Can't find a picture of the person on their website either.

Don't want this:

Hehe, so if the guy was sufficiently good looking and smooth, you'd consider it? :D

I don't mind women giving me massages, I don't know why straight men mind guys giving them massages.

It's probably a guy, TBH. I don't think Chris is really a popular female name...maybe Christine.

lol groupon = a shit load of people usually. If by some miracle this is a female AND it's a happy ending, get there early. You wouldn't wanna be number 100 for the day, sloppy seconds are bad enough...

My masseuse did a Groupon and got 300 people. She can handle about 5-10 of them a week. But Groupon did tell her that after the first 4 weeks, she'll only see about 20% of the remaining Groupon buyers as the other 80% will never show up.

She tells all the new customers to register an appointment on her website, because the professionalism of the site makes it obvious there isn't going to be any funny business. So that probably eliminated a bunch of people right there.

I've never done a groupon - those 80% already paid, right?

So it's an epic win for your masseuse?

Wow. That's crazy. Any idea what sort of placement fee Groupon is charging her to list??

Yes, they already paid. It appears Groupon has good potential for businesses that work by appointment, as it avoids a crush of buyers swarming your place in the couple of weeks after the offer was featured. I guess it's the same concept as why rebates are profitable - if the customers don't deal with it immediately, they tend to just blow it off.

It's a one-person operation in a tiny office and I can't imagine she is in a position to spend a lot. I know they take a cut of every sale but whether there's a fee on top of that, I don't know. She did mention it wouldn't cost her anything if the minimum number of deals (negotiated) wasn't sold.
