group calendar software?

i work in a small firm of 4 people. the firm can't afford to buy microsoft exchange, but we need a group calendar to schedule hearings, deadlines, etc. and naturally they designated me as the 'IT guy'

i think most of the computers run office 2000, so i'm trying to see if i can get outlook and net folders to work, but i understand net folders doesn't work on outlook 2003 (which a couple of the computers run). does anyone have any suggestions for what to do? btw, the server seems to be running windows 2000 server. thanks

I'd love to find a solution to this well. I also work for a small company, and we need some type of calendar sharing/sync application. I thought that Mozilla's Sunbird would be the way to go, but it seems to require WebDAV.

Or, what about one of the many web based group linking suites where you can form an online group with password-protected access, that have online calendars the group can share?

WebDAV is fairly easy to setup/maintain, and it doesn't take much of a machine to run it on.
You might try a small setup on a spare machine.

thanks for the suggestions. i've given up on trying to use net folders on outlook. i'm thinking about just going with yahoo calendar, or google's calendar when it comes out.

I gave the free version of Yagoon Time a try today. Wierd name and kinda simple, but it seems to work pretty good.

Wow, yagoon can subscribe to a published iCal calendar. I'm thinking of paying for it at work to put on all the PC. Then they'll all be able to see the same shared company calendar.
