Group By function in Windows Explorer

In XP I could use the Group By function and every letter of the alphabet had its own group(s) of folders. Vista only allows a few groups such as A-H, I-P, etc.

Does anybody know how to get around this limitation. I haven't tried it on Win7 yet.

It's the same on Win7, I would assume it's because there are not enough folders per letter to group them on an individual basis so it's doing a range grouping.

There are at least 1 or more for each letter but this was no limitation for XP. I have the same folder on an XP and Vista machine with different grouping.

Just checked a few examples, and it seems it will always group them in that fashion, regardless. No template hacks or ways around have been posted... yet. Vista/Windows 7 uses templates to display the contents of a folder and much of this has changed since XP, some like it some hate it I guess.
