I have like 2lbs of ground turkey, not sure what the best way to cook it is. Last time I had it I just made patties out of them and they tasted pretty bland.

Use it in place of hamburger in any recipe...except perhaps hamburgers...IMO, it doesn't taste great with ketchup and mustard...:D
But, in spaghetti or other pasta sauces it's great.

Meat loaf works too. You can mix it with oatmeal and top it with BBQ sauce or ketchup. Worked for me.

This. You can also use bread crumbs in place of oatmeal. Add an egg for juiciness, and onion for more flavor.

You have to flavor the turkey, whereas beef can stand on its own. I went 14 years without eating red meat, and so turkey was my friend. I've got tons of ideas, what's your pleasure? I can tell you how to make a burger, a loaf, chili, soup, meatballs, sandwiches, casseroles.

Plenty of stuff, as long as it isn't a burger. Chili, sauces, meatloaf, casserole...anything that would otherwise call for ground meat.

Okay, what's a good way to make turkey burgers that are tasty as hell?

Or a sandwich (same thing right?).

Turkey burgers - I throw pepper, seasoned salt, paprika, garlic powder, and a touch of cayenne pepper in mine. I'm used to eating my stuff bland though - for me the taste comes from the ketchup/mustard and toppings on the burger just as much as the seasoning in it.

Anything that you would use ground beef in. Right now scrambled eggs + mushrooms + cheese + ground turkey in a spinach wrap and topped with salsa sounds awesome.

I've done chilli with only turkey before and it's not quite up to snuff. 1/2 turkey 1/2 beef works much better.

We had turkey meatballs on rice the other night. It's an old school family dish, but it tastes really good and is super easy.

Take some ground turkey, mix in an egg, some bread crumbs, diced onion, minced garlic, salt, pepper.

Form into balls and fry in a skillet.

Meanwhile, in a sauce pan, take one small can of tomato paste, add some beef broth, some worcestershire sauce, and bring to a simmer then mix in a little sour cream. Throw the meatballs into the sauce and let them simmer for a few minutes.

Serve over rice, noodles, whatever.

Use ground turkey for anything that you use ground beef for, never done the turkey burgers though. I'm a huge fan of ground turkey for tacos, spaghetti, quesadillas, and other similar dishes.

Buy some hillshire farm hot links sausage...dice them up and mix in with the ground turkey.
The spices and fat from the sausage will flavor the bland turkey as you brown the mix and hell, it just tastes good.

Make your burgers, meatloaf, lasagna, spaghetti, whatever with this mix and you can't go wrong.

I actually like making burgers with it, but in a thai-ish fashion, mixing an egg, sweet chili sauce, curry, a touch of cumin, and salt into the mixture with the meat, then frying it in a pan (with peanut or sesame oil for extra goodness). Add more sweet chili sauce as a topping on the bun.

I can't believe people make hamburgers, beef, turkey or otherwise, without seasoning the meat o_O Do you hate flavor?

Ground Turkey (7% fat or more sticks best)
1-2 eggs depending on how much meat (start with one)
2 T. each: mustard and ketchup
1 clove garlic, minced
Ground black pepper
1 tsp. dried basil
2 T. dehydrated veggie flakes (opt.)

Mix well. Add a couple T. of bread crumbs if needed to make patties stick together. Turkey shrinks a lot when cooking, so form larger than normal (but not thicker b/c you have to cook it thoroughly) patties to allow for this. Broil, grill or panfry until juice is clear. You can add salt to this, but I've never really needed it.

Hamburger only needs salt and pepper (and some ketchup on the side, maybe some cheese). It has flavor--BEEF flavor! :D

My wife mixes it with Worcestershire sauce, diced onion, a dash of Tabasco, salt and pepper. Great turkey burgers.
