Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter for water cool setup. Really need it??

I just got my water cool setup and I want to test it out but the instruction says I need a Ground Fault Interrupter device. Is it really neccesary? I have one in the bathroom(required by law)but I don't have one in any of the other rooms. Is there i device i can plug over my existing outlet or do I have change it.
