All I have in my fridge is beer, pop, and ketchup. Don't really need an access database to figure out what I need to buy. :p

It is pretty cool though. If only I had a barcode scanner...

If you download CatNip you can use your CueCat to scan your DVD collection into DVDProfiler.com

I had that set up for a while, but I had to delete a digit everytime I did it and it annoyed me :(

Is there a fix for that?

That's technically neat, but it looks like it would actually take longer than just writing "Cheerios" on a piece of paper.

Yes you have to change some settings in either CatNip or CueCat software, do a search on Google.com for CatNip or CueCat hack.

How this geek grocery shops

You're kidding, right?

Why would I be kidding? On orders over $60 delivery is free,I can shop flyer specials and they'll even double my coupons up to 99 cents.I can leave specific instructions regarding substitutions and their shoppers do a wonderful job selecting produce for me.I can also save my lists of frequently ordered foods, why should I bother shopping and lugging bags and bags of stuff if I don't have to ?

Hey Baff, err Geek..
How is Peapod working out for you. I thought about trying it, but I just keep draging my lazy butt out. If you order meat/produce, do they do a good job on selection?

They do an awesome job on selection-you can even leave comments for your shopper on things like how ripe you'd like your bananas etc.

Plus,if you refer friends you can get a $20 grocery credit for each new friend who places an order, you can pay via CC or check too.I love them :)

I think this is a cool idea...it may take less time just to write stuff, but I tend to forget stuff causing multiple trips during the week to the grocery store.

I might just have to build something like this for my grocery shopping. Maybe do some analasys!! See some patterns...
